SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

Ok guys, this is a SPOILER blog, so there are SPOILERS here.

But I really don't want to ruin it so...

Seriously. SPOILERS! ABOUT HARRY POTTER!

There are just my initial thoughts, but I loved it. I loved how hysterical it was, even in the darkest moments.

I love that Snape still had Lily's patronus. "After all this time?" "Always"

And I really really loved Mrs. Weasley-- NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH.

I cried for Hedwig and Dobby. And poor poor Fred. Poor George.

I cheered when McGonagall came on the scene. I cheered for Percy. I laughed and cheered for Kreacher. Most of all, I cheered for Gran.

I have long suspected that Harry was the 7th Horcrux, but I was still shocked and couldn't believe it when it happened. I think I love Dumbedore even more now.

I wanted more Ginny.

I'm still overwhelmed and will post more later, but wanted to get my thoughts out. Comment/email if you've read it and want to talk....

I knew Harry was #7 too. It was too obvious not to be. And I liek how he died and didnt die. i wanted more McGonagall too. I love her character. I love how Neville stepped up. It was time. And how she connected so many threads. I cried over Hedwig and Dobby got me teary too. Love how they burried Mad Eye's eye.

I am amazed at the amount of cursing.... damn, hell, bastard BITCH (in caps). Bet some libraries especially schools won't carry it.

But I really want to know.... who raised Teddy? The Weasleys? And what were Ron, Harry, Ginny and Hermione's JOBS? I'm glad they are all happy and full of kids but what do they DO! I bet they don't need tons of aurors any more.

And what happened to Umbridge? She wasn't a death eater, just a bitch.

And Rowling stated someone came ino magic late in life... who? I was hoping for Filch.

Sigh. it's all over.

Actually, the damn and hells started appearing in Phoenix (which is also where we first got f-ing, but they spelled it Britishly-- effing.) My favorite though was "Merlin's saggy left---"

Also, most schools/libraries bumped the later ones up to teens.

I'm guessing Teddy was raised by Andromeda, because that's where Tonks left him during the battle...

I was also confused about the magic late in life. My guess is it got cut... she said that a really long time ago and my I bet it just didn't make the final draft. I had always been betting on Dudley (because in one interview she clarifed "late in life" didn't mean old but just late to be just be starting to exhibit magical tendecies...)

I also wanted to know about jobs, but I wouldn't be suprised if Harry was a stay at home dad. He's loaded, I'm not sure where he would be able to work because of his fame, and all he's ever wanted was a family...

I agree ... I wanted more Ginny!
I loved that Snape wanted Harry to look at him to see Lilly's eyes!
I wanted to hear about more characters and what happened to them! Not enough of an epilogue!

Yeah I thought of Andromeda after I posted that too. I love to think Harry would be a stay at home dad!

The "Bitch" line seemed far too Aliens for me.

I also thought the deaths seemed a little random. LIke, she knew she had to kill off some people to make it dark enough, and so threw in some people (or owls) to die.

Overall, a fun romp. The last hundred pages are going to be fantastic on screen.

Now, I haven't seen most of the Aliens movies, so I can't really say.

(Totally aside-- remember in Titanic, when Rose and whatshisface are making out in the car? And it's all steamy and her hand hits the window? I turned to my sister and went "Oh Shit! The Aliens got her!" at which point she had to remind me there were no aliens in the movie...)

Leaky Cauldron now has the transcript of the live chat she did when she talks about killing Hedwig (in her cage! So cruel!) and some other people...

You've never seen the Alien series?
But then again, when the first one came out I was working in Mississippi and you were yet a dream. (guess who!)

The classic battle of the mommies.
But...it made Mrs. Weasly all the cooler for it, I think!

Anon--

I have a good guess! You finished then? Now, I did see Aliens 4 with my cousins one Thanksgiving... but I haven't gone back and seen the earlier ones. Not my type of movie...

Yup, I finished it 10 minutes before I was called to help with EAA unloading Sunday night. (Excellent timing, no?)

Actually Alien is not my type either. (Men in Black on the other hand…) I saw the first one reluctantly and it trimmed 3 years off of my life. I saw the second one as well, again reluctantly, but the ending had the big battle between the heroine Ripley and the momma alien. Mrs. Weasly still rocks in my book!

See you in a few days! Now back to that pesky day job…

But has Mom finished it yet? I hope Will has. We can all geek out and Abbey and Dan can poke forks in their eyes. It will be great fun!
