Perks of Being a Wallflower

I hate the fact that Charlie was molested in the end. I think it cheapened the whole book. I wish that his depression and craziness was just because he was a sensitive teenager and not due to this big trauma in his past. I really identified with him as a character but then when I got to the end? Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Still love that Smiths song though.

yeah, but it explains the whole black dark fear he sinks into around his birthday etc.. most teenagers that identify with him don't have that, where as he did - which is why you want to know. but considering it's such an original book, besides catcher in the rye, it is a pretty cliche thing to happen so it definately is a bit of an anti-climax.
